Most products start with a business plan. Ours started with a bad cup of coffee and two brothers who thought they could do better.

We were frustrated with what was out there. Not just because existing scales were slow to respond, but because they felt like repurposed kitchen scales with fancier names. Nobody was actually thinking about the brewing experience. We kept asking questions like: Why do I need to calculate the ratio every single time? How does this brew compare to the one from yesterday? At 6am, we didn't want to do math, and beyond scribbling notes in a notebook, there was no real solution for that either.

So we decided to build something better.

The first version was a 3D-printed enclosure, a handful of salvaged parts, and software we wrote in a few days. Rough around the edges, but it felt different in a way that mattered. From the beginning, we focused entirely on the experience of brewing day after day. We wanted features that people like us would actually use. We stretched our expertise to the limit and built a product we genuinely love using, one that fits into your brewing routine like it was always supposed to be there.

We assemble everything in-house, and every component is custom-made specifically for Oscalla. Where others saw an opportunity to cut corners and share off-the-shelf electronics, we saw an opportunity to be better.
